It was bound to happen. And, you may be wondering how I lasted this long. Sometimes I wonder myself. Call it lucky. But today I finally paid (for the first time ever!) over $4.00 a gallon for gas. I could have kept the streak intact and went for the cheaper grade, but the lower octane really makes the engine ping and limits the overall performance of the vehicle. So with that being said, I broke down and splurged for the $4.02 a gallon 93 octane. If prices continue heading up, I may just make a showcase vehicle out of My 55 Chevy Bel Air.
