I called the body shop and I was told, YES I can go get my car. I called a friend Randy and he offered me a ride to pick the car up. When we got there, I was so excited to see the car back in one piece, no rust holes and ready to roll.
The body shop guy told me there would still be a bit of sand from when they sand blasted the old rust, so I expected some in the car. When I started to drive it down the road, I am glad I had my sunglasses on because I was getting blasted with sand in my face. I’ll definitely clean it up good when I get home.
All that matters is that My ’55 Chevy Bel Air was finally going home.
