The news for today is my Drum-to-Disc Brake Conversion Kit arrived! I found a place online called Auto City Classic that has a lot of ’58 Chevy parts but also carries other old Chevy parts too. As you can see from the pictures the kit is very well stocked. I opened the boxes and inventoried the parts. All appears to be there.
I pulled one of the wheels off and started to clean the drum and wheel. I happened to notice that the rims are 14 inch. I remembered when ordering the brake kit, there was an issue with the rotors and calipers fitting in a stock 14″ rim. Luckily these are Rally Wheels so the brake kit should fit. I’ll find out soon as I plan to start the conversion this weekend.
