My '55 Chevy BelAir Blog

From One Chevy Tri-Five Enthusiast To Another!

Car show, and swap meet

So people in the know kept telling me that I must check out the Winter Autofest at Festival Park in Zephyrhills. Not only were there some amazing automobiles to see up for auction there, they also had auto racing and an auto parts swap meet.

Since I was in the market to find some parts for my ’55 Chevy Bel Air and see some awesome vehicles, I decided to take a trip up there. A short 30 minute ride quickly turned into well close to 2 hours! Pasco County’s finest were doing a (ahem) fine job of directing traffic. As you can see the line of cars was dreadful. This all started less than 5 miles from the front gate. So close, but yet so far!

I will say I hate waiting in traffic, but once inside the gates, we saw some absolutely fabulous vehicles and found a couple places that had some parts or leads to parts I needed for the ’55 Bel Air.

From what I understand, this festival happens twice a year. My only hope of avoiding traffic lines next time is to ride a motorcycle!
