So once we cross into Arizona from New Mexico, we encountered yet another disturbing fact. The rest area was closed. But it was not only this one, it seemed as though all the rest areas throughout Arizona were closed. Well, I’ve heard of budget cutbacks, but how about the comfort of some weary travelers? I suppose the money they save on closing the rest stops and the fines for all the people relieving themselves in the bushes on the side of the highway should add up in no time!
