From One Chevy Tri-Five Enthusiast To Another!

Shoo Fly…wheel

Well, after being stranded for 10 minutes at the gas station because the starter couldn’t get a hold of the flexplate I decided it was time to fix this as well. I found a transmission guy named Jeff who is very good with cars and locating parts. He found a brand new flexplate for My 55 Chevy Bel Air for around $60 less than what most other places in town were charging. It’s good quality and looks as good as the others at a fraction of the price.

We got the new flexplate in and while the transmission was out I decided to put a new starter in as well. (Good thing I got that warranty!)

The car now sounds so quiet (normal) when starting. no more grinding!
