I was speaking with a fellow cruiser and 55 Chevy owner tonight and mentioned my headlight issue I had last week. Right away he asks, “did you have your high beams on?” I told him yes and there was the answer. he told me his headlight switch gets warm when using his high beams and the resolution was to keep them on low. Strange!
naturally, I was curious, so I drove home that night and around the neighborhood a little bit and sure enough, the issue seemed to be resolved. I’ll certainly be keeping an eye on them and researching a bit more, but for now it’s nice to know someone else was experiencing the same issue and helped me to figure it out.
