Rod Run at Dover

It was time I cleaned up the ’55 and went to another show. So today I went to the Dover Rod Run in Dover, Florida. This show is put on by the First Baptist Church of Dover  2-3 times a year and never seems to disappoint. I’ve been told they usually have at least 200-300 cars. Although I haven’t heard the official count of today’s show, it seemed a bit lighter than in the past but was still another good turnout.

Today’s Rod Run featured the usual loads of cars and trucks, the Bluegrass Jam, great food and this time a Cub Scout Pinewood Derby. They also had some delicious strawberry shortcake. It is almost Strawberry season here in Central Florida and that means delicious shortcakes and classic cars at the Strawberry Festival.

Time to start doing some more work on My ’55 Chevy Bel Air to get it closer to a new paint job and get it ready for a new season of car shows.
